Director of Lorain County Transit
Richard Enty
 Mr. Enty has served as LCT’s Interim General Manager since December 2008. He brings over 30 years of public transit experience to LCT, where he is responsible for supervising three full-time, and two part-time staff handling LCT’s Federal reporting, advertising, Brokerage Program, customer service and Elyria Greyhound ticket sales.
Mr. Enty also oversees LCT’s bus operation and maintenance services provided under contract to the Lorain County Board of Commissioners by First Transit of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mr. Enty comes to LCT from the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA), from which he retired in 2007. Following college in Philadelphia, PA, he began his transit career at RTA in 1978 as a rapid transit train operator. Over the next 29 years there he served as a transportation planner, Paratransit District Acting Superintendent and Planning Team Leader.
As a planner Mr. Enty was involved in a number of regional rail studies and related efforts. They include a commuter rail demonstration of a passenger train operating between Lorain and Cleveland in 1997, done in cooperation with the Lorain Port Authority.
A resident of Cleveland, Mr. Enty is the father of two daughters and a son. He has volunteered for nearly 15 years with both Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and North Coast Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen. His hobbies include reading, travel, volleyball, bicycling, golf and general aviation.
