On Tuesday, July 20, 2010 NorTech's Energy Enterprise Speaker Series will present a forum on Developing a Wind Energy Industry in Northern Ohio, at the Great Lakes Science Center (601 Erieside Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114). Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation (LEEDCo), based in Cleveland, Ohio, is a regional nonprofit economic development corporation, committed to creating an offshore wind energy industry for Northern Ohio.

Details:
LEEDCo is currently leading efforts to build, install, and deploy a 20-megawatt offshore wind farm in the Ohio waters of Lake Erie. In its initial stages of development, the project is a significant step towards making Northern Ohio a major economic engine by capitalizing on the region's skilled workforce and expertise in advanced manufacturing. Please join us on July 20 to meet experts from LEEDCo, GE, and other partners to learn about the project. Time will be available for speakers to address your interests, questions and concerns during an open and lively Q&A; session.

Complimentary parking is available in the Science Center's attached parking facility. Enter on the Science Center's west side facing the stadium. Parking vouchers will be available at the event registration table with your name badge. Please note the front door of the Great Lakes Science Center closes at 5 p.m. All event attendees must enter the building through the Great Lakes Science Center parking garage and use the building's first floor west side entrance.
